Commissioned by Newcastle Arts team (featured in the image above), this photobooth is based on Cecil Beaton’s iconic photo of the Queens Corination in Westminster Abby. Myself, verity Quinn, Kate Eccles and Jen McHugh designed a series of workshops for young people in the local area, using our skills in set Design, Props and costume to help them create all of the elements needed for the event.

We dressed the inside of a marquee on Princes Square, outside the City Library as part of the celebrations, members of the public were invited to dress up as the Queen, Prince Philip etc and have their portrait taken by award winning photographer Kyle Heslop. the images were posted on a website so they could be printed by the participants. We all had a great time.
